Leads (negative lag)

Relationships that let the successor start before its predecessor logic would permit.

Threshold0

What it measures

How many relationships carry a negative lag (a lead).

How Claims Digger calculates it

Counts relationships with negative lag among those whose successor isn't yet complete. Any lead at all is flagged; the check passes only at zero.

Why it matters

A lead compresses the schedule artificially and can hide a real logic problem: the successor is allowed to start before the work it depends on is finished.

How to fix a failure

  • Split the predecessor into two activities so the successor can follow the part it actually needs.
  • Replace the lead with a Start-to-Start relationship or a shorter duration where that reflects the real overlap.

Claims Digger runs all 14 checks on any schedule you upload, and lists the exact activities behind every failure. See how the health check works.
